I sat down with our Chief Marketing Officer, Wendy Purvey to ask her a few questions about her thoughts on today’s real estate industry.
Q: In your opinion, what is the most exciting thing(s) happening in the real estate industry today?
Real Estate agents are embracing technology. Whether due to the fact that they are expected to meet the demands of their clients or that they are in fact ready to experience how technology can truly help them be more successful. Either way, as a real estate marketing professional, I am glad the page has been seemingly turned.
Q: What marketing advice do you have for real estate agents in the industry?
Quality first. The rest follows.
Q: Over your 25+ year real estate career, you’ve lived and traveled the world. What are your favorite places?
Without a doubt, Lake Como, Italy. I was so struck by its natural beauty that I just stood there in complete awe. I am also a big fan of the Rocky Mountains. Telluride, Colorado in particular makes me very happy.
.
Q: Not just limited to real estate, what current marketing/advertising campaign is your favorite?
Well I am usually a sucker for anything by Nike, especially their “Find Your Greatness” campaign. But being a Mom, who has sat on the bleachers and sidelines cheering on my two daughters, the Procter and Gamble ad campaign – which was 2 minutes and ran on multi-mediums – promoted P&G’s Olympic sponsorship by celebrating the dedicated mothers who raise the athletes. It makes me cry every time I see it and it generates a positive response to the Brand.
